ForestMobility uses Ventura buggies*, built by the Horizon Mobility Company. Clifford Hudson of ForestMobility has had a great deal of input into the design of these rugged, long distance buggies. The buggies have been used by young and old, and people with a wide range of disabilities. They are simple to use and suitable for most people.

They have:

  • Speed control paddle leavers, forward and reverse, suitable for either hand, which respond to a light finger touch
  • Rotating dial power control
  • Rocker on/off switch
  • Wrist supports
  • Moveable arm rests
  • Swivel seat for easy mounting and dismounting
  • Adjustable seat forwards and backwards to suit varying leg lengths
  • Adjustable handle bars
  • Ability to carry 30 stone -  (greater weights increase battery use, meaning shorter trips)
  • Long range batteries, sufficient to travel the entire forest cycle trail of 11 miles

*classified as Invalid Carriage Class 2 modified
